Hillary is a Joke. She is weak. Nobody knows where she stands for day to day. She is the hand picked choice by the media to be the democratic front-runner and the weak minded Democratic Hillary supporters are buying it up.
The Democratic party has already been taken to far down this road and Hillary is just another that would use her supporters for nothing but personal gain.
Democrats time to stand up and demand somebody that for once is on the side of the American People and not just selling a bill of goods to create more programs to enhance their own personal kingdom.

"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." (Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton - June 28, 2004, in San Francisco at a Democrat Party fundraiser)
"I want to take those profits and put them into an alternative energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy alternatives that will actually begin to move us toward the direction of independence." (Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton - February 2, 2007, at DNC Winter Meeting - regarding profits earned by oil companies, which are not [yet] owned by the government)
"As president I know I can't kill, jail or occupy every nation we don't agree with and I cannot just wish that all the terrorists be wiped off the face of the Earth" (Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton - February 10, 2007, at a campaign appearance in New Hampshire)
"We're going to change the way we finance the system by taking away money from people who are doing well now" — (Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton — March 24, 2007, at a health care forum in Las Vegas)

If there was a qualified female candidate I would have no problem voting for her.
I think the country is ready for a female President however I don't think Hillary is the one for the job. Hillary is a socialist, I don't like Bush but if you think G W played with the Constitution wait and see what Hillary does.

I don't think many people would complain about a woman being president, no one complained about Margret Thacher as prime minister of England, she put England and her people first, there is no reason to believe Hilary would do the same as her back ground of at least suspicion of murder , ( Vince Foster) and others, also her underhanded financial and real estate dealings sure puts a cloud over her head, she ran the white house for 8 years while Bill was getting laid in the oval office, I don't think she did a very good job during that period, how can you expect some one who was born with a silver spoon in their mouth and never had to worry about paying their bills or putting food on the table relate or understand the poor working clouts who are nothing but slaves to her programs, there are just to many negatives surrounding her,

Don't listen to these Repulicans; Hillary Clinton will be a great president. Most people attack her because they don't like her husband. That's what I don't understand, just becuase you are married to him, not even blood related, doesn't mean you will run like him! Seriously, I mean if your dad was a mass murder, are you? I don't think so. Hillary has different views from Bill, even though he was a really good president. I believe this country is ready for a change.
I'll definatly vote for Hillary 2008!

Just by reading how you posed this question was clue enough for me to know you're a Hillary Clinton supporter.
Are we ready for a female President? Yes.
Are we ready for Hillary Clinton as President? Absolutely not.
Hillary should vote for either Paula Jones, Jennifer Flowers, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick or Monica Lewinsky for President.

well, your girl has to get the nomination first. i think edwards will give her a serious challenge; and obama has allll that money too.
if she does get the democratic nomination, then it's safe to say the democratic party thinks the U.S. is ready because that's the last thing they want to do is nominate someone who cannot win. her nomination would sure polarize and crystalize the two parties though and i would expect very large turnouts.
i think it's more her politics that make her unatractive as a candidate however. so i guess i would say, yes, ther U. S. is ready for a female prez but not this female. just my op though, i could be, and probably am wrong....

No. Nothing much past White, Western European, Male, Pseudo-christian. Pretty much your WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant, and male).
Sorry, really do wish it was otherwise. But the Christo-fascists will find some fake moral issue to raise against anyone not racially pure.
Besides, I think it would only be fair to have a republican dig us out of the rubble of Bush's failed "foreign policy". Kind of letting them step up to the plate and be the responsible adult instead of a Carter or a Clinton.

Nothing wrong with a woman president but Hillary Clinton would be a disaster if elected.
