Does anyone have a LETTERMAN JACKET?

I want a letterman jacket but only people on a varsity team will be able to get one. I'm going to be on the Varsity softball team in the spring... and I think it'll be too late to get one considering I am a senior. I want to wear it for the winter.

What can I do? Around how much are they? Please explain what the letters are supposed to represent. Thanks!

You can buy your letterman jacket anytime, but unless you've lettered in something, you won't have the letter to put on it yet. The letter is usually your school initial. My coat cost me a little over $200 back in 1989, and that was for one with the leather sleeves.
