Dreams do not "mean" anything. They are composed of old memories and thoughts that we have already had. Have you ever seen a Harry Potter movie? Dreaming is the brain mulling over ideas and some of it is the process the brain uses to consolidate thoughts into memories. During that process the rational part of the brain is suspended and thoughts are freely associated as part of the process of consolidation. Walking into a fire sounds like transportation through the flue network in the Harry Potter stories. Maybe you misinterpreted your dream and the actions of you old dog were to be transported back to doggie heaven, where you will see him/her again.

that u think maybe that it was because u lived at our old house that something at the house like wood or something killed your old dog and u miss the dog a WHOLE bunch

To see a dog in your dream, indicate a skill that you have ignored or forgotten, but needs to be activated. Alternatively, dogs may symbolize intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. Your own values and intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and succeed. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it signifies some inner conflict within yourself. It may indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness.?If the dog is dead or dying, then it indicates a loss of a good friend. Alternatively, it represents a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog".

Do you have any pets now that are ill? It sounds like you are reflecting back on an issue when you had our dog, and feeling guilty about your dogs death. If you have pets now, take them to the vet if they are due for there shots and check up, or one is sick. Animals are like people and get sick too. They also pass on. The bursting into flames is the dog being taken from you again. Lose the guilt that you have of your dogs death.

Maybe it means that you need to think about present time instead of looking back at what you have lost. ?
