The best online college that I've heard of is Walden University. It's an accredited college and I've heard about it through professors at my school that happen to teach there. From that experience, I know it must be a great school with real educational opportunities.

The University of Phoenix used to be a top candidate - however recent scandal has put their program under much scrutiny. What may surprise you is that most community colleges are pursuing more and more online instrution. Many of them even offer online degrees. Search the online catalog of your local community college. You may be pleasantly surprised at not only the convenience, but the affordability.

Good luck

A lot of traditional colleges offer on-line alternative programs these days, and the degree you get would be the same as the one received by students who got their degrees at the brick-and-mortar campus. That is far preferable to the on-line colleges, which are not really respected by many employers these days.

Look around at your state public colleges, you will be surprised that many of them now have distance learning programs. They are a lot better than the ones you find advertising in banner ads on the web.
