I just bought a new pearlscale goldfish. Its not big enough to tell if its a girl of a boy. He is mostly orange, and has some white around his head. He's VERY fat lol. I'm a little stuck at naming him any ideas?

Maybe Pearl or Spot (ty?). I don't really know how to name fish, but if you watch it carefully, I think that'd be easier for you to name it by it's personality, even though it's a fish. Sorry; hope this helps a little!

I've never understood the point in naming an animal that will not come to you when you call for it.
I've owned over a hunderd fish and only one has ever had a name. I didn't even name it, it belonged to my brother. Now my daughter has 2 fish, and she named both of them Megan Renee...even her MALE betta!!...can you guess what my daughter's name is??? My two boys call my biggest goldfish jaws because I have a "beware of jaws" sign in the tank, and he acts kinda fierce sometimes. Other than that, no fish names...in over 20 years as a fish owner.

Name him after Ted Kennedy, "The Swimmer".
