It is not always something a person did to cause distrust. Some don't trust for other reasons. Some distrust because they can not be trusted. Some don't care that you've never done anything wrong and will still find something that isn't really there. These people have their own issues and it's not good.

Oh Boy watch out my ex started out doing things like that phone email etc. I was annoyed at first but then it went crazy he still has people checking up on me and um he seems to think it's amusing. Shouldn't he be embarrassed instead what kind of person is so insecure they need to rifle thru their partners belongings to make sure they are faithful it's pathetic. So yea be afraid be very afraid. And did u laugh when she confronted u with the big nothing that she found? Poor guy good luck.

My BF of 2 1/2 yrs. decided to install software on my computer without my knowledge. With this software he was able to get into my email from his own computer at his home. I never allowed him to live in. He actually would get my email before I did and was able to change the emails I received if he chose to. He was able to get my emails before they went to the recipient and change them also. As soon as I found out the relationship was over. A police report was made, ISP was changed and he was never again allowed into my home. An ugly way to end a beautiful relationship.

I have nothing to hide and evidently you don't either.
Only you know if you are with a control freak or not. The person is suspicious for some known or unknown reason.
Is the person limiting contact with your family and friends?
Wants to know/control your every move?
Yells at you for any money spent?
Checks the odometer?
Pushes you in the corner, yells at you, drinks/dopes?
Get away-get very far away- as fast as you can!

Whats there to confront if they found nothing?
I wouldn't worry about it really, my significant other and I go thru each others stuff all the time. If theres nothing to hide, theres nothing to worry about.
Now thats just my personal opinion, I know others prefer more privacy, even from their significant other. But personally I just feel that if you love someone and nothing going on that shouldn't be, there isn't anything to worry about or fight about.

I would feel violated...

And they should feel even worse that they found NOTHING. I would have serious doubts about staying with a person like that. You might want to consider moving on. They've already violated your trust, and without trust, what else is there???...

I'd think paranoia.

I'd also have to inquire about their ex's because they clearly have an issue with trust so something must have caused that. You should point this out as a basis for the behavior, especially if there was nothing fruitful found.

I give the absolute best answers, do you not agree?

Well ...either they don't trust you, because of something they have seen (or sometimes they know what they do, so they figure you would do it to) or they feel like the relationship is souring and you might be getting the itch. But the fact that they
said something is kinda nervy....(so did they find anything?LOL)

Well mine wouldn't do that we have to much respect and trust for each other but if he wants to go through my emails I have nothing to hide.
