Okay, m'dear enki, this is the way I see the journey of life. Without a fixed destination, (to me, a mistake at the start), I am FREE to make any possible choice. I can pull over just to look at something beautiful I might have passed if I were striving ever forward, (to what)? If a side road looks inviting, I'll take it. Who knows what I might find? If there's a fruit stand, why, I'll just stop, & chomp on some cherries or figs while listening to the birds, or maybe even take a tromp through the grasses. If I feel a burst of energy, I'll take the fast lane for awhile, heavy foot on the pedal. One side road can lead to another. Why, I just might take so many "forks" in the road, I'll wind up where I started. Now that, my friend, is what I call a journey. Hello? Is anyone still there?

A journey will have it's ups and downs, it will have pit stops for refueling, supplies, etc. A journey is beginning at one point and following a path to reach a certain destination in life and will have many bumps in the road, it is your determination and basic instinct to succeed that will give you the strength and courage to continue on. It is through your sheer will power and through trial and error that you learn and adapt. It is then that you realize there is no set rule, you just learn to adapt through experience. there is no real guidelines or set time frames just little things that make it all the more interesting(good and bad). You plan for the expected the unexpected you readjust and from there continue on with more wisdom as a result of your experiences. =)))))). This is my answer, everyones is different just like life. goodbye friend.

Push through when you believe only effort is needed to achieve your objective. Pull over when you reckon it needs more thought, or more preparation. If I need help it's most likely in the reFueling, which provides the energy to change the tire. I can provide all my basic needs myself - but I certainly appreciate when they're provided for me. What else? Well, just a few more years ....

I guess that it is true that Life is a journey but we should be glad first of all in being Alive, and even though some of us might need help sometimes, it is always better to push on and thank God for giving us that energy, to get through whatever hurdle we find our self in. I guess that I am a Woman that does not give up for anything if I am busy and want to finfish whatever I am doing I do not stop even to Pee, as you say.

Thats all individual for each of us. Everyone needs to always grow-intellectually and spiritually or I feel that we will stagnate- thats what we are here for. Everyone around you has something to teach you and you have something to teach them. Sometimes you don't see it till farther down the road but its there. Even in the bad times. Everyone needs a lazy day on the couch now and then-but I can only do it after I've had my days of "pushing".
Everyone needs an adventure. Everyone needs love.

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out, and proclaiming, "Wow! What a ride!"

You go with the flow. You pull over as long as you have the support structure and you don't wear out your welcome. Otherwise, you strap on the solar panels and keep driving. And even if you're completely self-reliant, you may want to let your friends and family help you because that makes them feel good about sharing your life with you.

You want to work smarter instead of harder. As long as you're qualified and deserving, let people do favors for you. That way, you get put in a position to achieve more things in life, the more the better. Life is too short to take the long road to success when you don't have to do so.

If life is a Journey...you just keep pushing through....there is no pullover...unless the pullover is "Death"...the Enemy...(May be its not enemy at all)...I will most likely need help...prety much every moment of the journey...cuz..I am not alone in the journey...there are more than 6 billion of us (Humans)....and a huge number of other crippling creatures who will make our journey...fun and miserable...so The co-existence part of the journey is everything in life. You are not pulling over to pee...that is also part of the journey...and refuling love is also part of the journey

Your question reminds me of a somewhat bizarre creature in "Dr Doolittle", called a "Push-me-pull-you" - a kind of double sided llama . . .
And that is the dilemma . . . When to push on regardless, or pull over and take a smoke break?
Thank goodness we as hooman beans don't really have to make that decision by ourselves (consciously!), for the Good Lord makes it on our behalf . . . He decides when you need a break, and when your strength is still enough to carry on. Ironically I've found that trials and tribulations, apart from being lessons to be learned, are like a huge boulder you carry on your shoulders: after a period of time, you find it has weathered so much that you can now carry it cradled in your arms, and then a while later just in one hand, and a while later as a small ball sized object in your pants' pocket, and then it becomes a mere pebble. which providence places in your shoe: You still feel it from time to time, just to remind you of its presence, yet mostly it becomes forgotten, especially on the joyous journey of LIFE!!!

Hopefully with common sense and understanding that you never actually pull over, just take another path (the new one with tires on it, or gas, or love, etc.). Usually there are a number of paths and you may want to take the slow winding scenic rout at times, but take the expressway when you have to pee. That is the only time I would recommend "pushing through". :-).

I think this is where instinct plays its role. I've pulled over for the first time in my life, but I can't seem to get moving again. I guess my instincts and wisdom are at a standstill. I may not have realized the depths of my wounds. I never really had a chance to look at them before.

I think the answer is Time will Tell.
