I've heard some people say that, and there are guys who do search for those "mail order brides" as someone above mentioned. But I think the stigma lies in the fact that most Americans tend to know very little about the rest of the world, particularly about other cultures.

This is not anything new, unfortunately. I have known of this for many years,and it's gone on forever I would imagine. People think that a person should stick to their own kind. Whether, it's their race, religion, country...the list goes on and on. Not fair...but not something new.

We tend to think of them as mail order brides. And especially if you're like 30 years older.

I don't think so.....I have Military people all around me. Wives from other countries.
