when my wife and i got married she got on the phone and said this is the date come if you like.. and those that came had fun and enjoyed see my wife in a dress.. she did not like to were dresses.. the more the merrier i say.. but then we did not put on the feed.. we had cake and punch and mints.. and a great time what more do you want.. all in all i think our hole wedding cost us no more than 200.00 that with my wife's dress and me a new suite from sears

I'm working on my guest list right now and I think it depends on how big your family is and how you feel about sharing this very special moment. Just from my side of the family I have invited 125 people (where very big and very close) where my soon to be husband is inviting 30. But I've always been told to except half of the people you invite to show.

At my wedding the guests were about 300.
At the reception only the family and very close friends, about 50.

My soon to be wife and I want a really small wedding. Her parents and best friends. My best friend and two others. That's about it. The staff working our wedding will out number the guests.

My ideal wedding will consist of close family only, no more than 20 per side... 15 per side if I can help it. Then i want a rocking reception that is what most of our wedding $$$ will be spent on.

Eloped for my first marriage. The second one, we invited about 30 people. We wanted a simple ceremony.
