This may surprise you, but according to my UK friend, having
'tea', has nothing to do with drinking the brew. It refers to having your last main meal of the day. In US terms, we call it
'dinner'. And quite often they drink beer with their dinner, and
not tea at all.
So to drink 'tea' has nothing to do with 'tea time'. Now aren't
you glad you asked about the word, "tea"?

Haven't had tea in a long time. Heard they had caffiene in it.
But I used to drink Snapple Iced Tea (every flavor) at least one bottle a day. Then I saw the sugar content. Explained alot.
