Yes its fine. The clotted blood is prolly just the oldest layer of blood in your uterus so it began to clot. I do the same thing and thats what my doctor said. Good luck!

Yes, just be careful when you're changing it, messy, messy, messy. I alternate between tampons and pads when I'm on my heavy days.
