You would need a huge solar panel to get enough power to keep a battery on a scooter topped up. You would be better to get a new or larger capacity battery, or a second one connected in parallel to the existing one.

A 12" x 6" solar panel will output about 1 watt, so if your scooter motor is about 70 watts?? you will get about an extra minute run time for every hour of charge, not a lot!

you will need to find a 12v DC solar panel and hook it to your battery some what like a DOT road sign on a trailer, or you will have to get a 120v ac panel and hook it up before your internal charger. Do some sudying there is a lot of info out there if you look. you really need to understand how this stuff works. its not hard, it just needs to be understood before you go cutting wires.
