you betcha,on the other side each generation knows certain skills and knowledge the the previous did not on account of new technology,for this the new generation looses certain basic skills, people no longer can foods, sew clothes, can repair cars,skills which other generations took for granted and would consider any person foolish if they could not perform these skills, to these people such represent common sense. people no longer save money or use coupons both require common sense.you have an opinion or you wouldn't ask

I think he is just playing. Surely!

I DO think that there are some people who are so "book smart" but who have no common sense. I once knew a lady like that. She was BRILLIANT, but she had no common sense at all.

Yes. Many people lack or don't use common sense. I'm on of them.

I love those books, and you do wonder at some of those people. What were they thinking? But I would say that was a lack of sense in some people, not most people.

What exactly IS common sense? It's been so long since we've had any good examples, I'm afraid we'd never recognize it if it ever rears it's very rare head.
