There was this smirk on his face he couldn't seem to wipe off during the whole press conference. Is this going to be like the 9/11 widows? They could say any ridiculous Bush-deranged garbage they wanted. Any time someone responded in-kind, their response to the widows was not rebutted on its' merits. Anyone who responded to the widows was simply called "mean".

Is Elizabeth Edwards now an unassailable human-shield for her sleazeball husband because she has cancer?

If she dies before the election, who will he use next?

Can anyone answer this question without calling me "mean"?

whether their campaign would desire to pass on is as much as them. they selected to go on, so pass on they shall. As for bringing it out, it replace into completed so using fact Edwards is conscious the media could've at last figured it out and then there'd be questions approximately him hiding his spouse's maximum cancers for the betterment of the campaign. would besides come out and be directly with us for the get-pass. humorous element approximately all that's that even assuming Edwards gets a political improve from all this (a doubtful assumption IMO), how does this help the Democratic occasion as an entire? All this could do is tension their precise 2 front- runners to exhaust added funds protecting Edwards in 0.33 place. people who're complaining that Edwards is doing this to harm Republicans or help Democrats are basically incorrect. this could be a private, not a political, undertaking.

I actually think you're courageous for bringing up this subject. Today, in America if you can portray yourself as a victim in any sense of the word, you are immune from criticism. You can make outrageous remarks and people won't call you on them. Cindy Sheehan is a good example of this. Her son died in battle so she began to make ridiculous, almost treasonous statements and nobody wanted to criticize her because she was a "victim." Some people who are considered "minorities" get a free pass when they make stupid statements or engage in behaviors that would take away all credibility from someone who doesn't have the "victimhood cloak." Let's take everyone seriously enough to call them an idiot or a sleazeball if that is what they are.

I know that Elizabeth told him to continue with his Presidential run but for myself, I would have been devastated by this and would have immediately dropped out of the race and politics completely to spend as much time with my wife as possible.

I do not really care for Edwards but I people do try to hide their true feelings, perhaps you saw that as him hiding his glee

I didn't see any glee from Edwards at any time about his wife's cancer. I don't think you're mean, you just lack empathy and good taste. I'm not sure I wouldn't rather be called mean if I were you though, come to think of it.

He knew her having cancer was going to get him pity party votes. He cares more about his political career, than anybody, including his own wife. Very sad, I know, but true nonetheless.

It is the sympathy vote. Much like Bill Clinton biting his lower lip and acting like he is going to cry. Hokem, is all that is.
If Elizabeth Edwards is dying of cancer why does she have time to campaign for the hair guy?

I honestly believe the whole thing is a ruse. They are that scummy that they would lie about something like this to get sympathy. They are using this to get elected and attention, thus the happiness

This question is sick, you're mean?

Are you people kidding me. First this smarmy lawyer uses his dead son to propel his political popularity and now he is absolutely using his cancer-ridden wife as a shield and more political capital. And your calling the question asker sick and mean.

Who was is that called Ann Coulter out? Thats right his wife because he knew that Ann would school him in a debate and anything Ann said to Elizabeth would come off as mean-spirited because she has a disease. That is sick and mean you idiots. And you are sick and mean for using those labels to try to stiffle the questioners free speech.
