I would not say that they are not opposed to the occupation. I would say, however, that they are too narrow minded to perceive the threat imposed by both illegal immigration and Al Qaida. The big picture is complicated and I do not see those who are calling for a troop withdrawal or those who do not favor enforcing our immigration laws as being able to comprehend the consequences of those decisions. The threat is real - if we withdraw within our own borders, they will come here to attack.

Most of the anti-war movement was against the war in Iraq - any fool could see Al Qaeda had training in Afganistan and Bin Laden lived there (and probably still does). Obama has pulled out of Iraq largely, and is taking the fight to the Taliban and Al Qaeda - a very small group has a problem with that, if anybody.

Democrats need the Illegals to enter this Country of Ours, so that they can get them registered to Vote for Democrats.
For Democrats, it is all about controlling the Government, and keeping their Lucrative Jobs. They do not care about anything else. If the byproduct of their actions allows Terrorists to also enter Our Country, they believe it is not their Fault. It is the Fault of the Republicans only.
But, I do Fault President Bush for not Closing the Borders to Illegals. He has the Authority and the Money to accomplish this, and also the backing of 80% of the American Legal Citizens. The Question remains! Why does Our President not Close Our Borders to Illegal Aliens?????

Well the republicans don't seem to be doing a whole lot about those two either. Making Iraq into a recruiting office for Al Qaeda and consistently doing nothing about illegal immigrants. Doesn't sound like anyone's too fussed about them.

I am a democrat and I welcome neither. I feel very strongly about both subjects! I say bring the troops home and protect our borers from the USA not Iraq. I also say we need to get a handle on illegal immigration. Saying all democrats are the same is like saying all republicans are the same.
