signs posted "Now hiring managers."? Who's managing the place now, and what happened to the previous managers, how smoothly can the place be running, or what type of service would you receive in the absence of managers? Would this send up any red flags to you? Just curious what others think.

in re. to the negative remarks, how many managers does it take to run an eatery, when the sign specifies the need of 3?

The fact that a restaurant is hiring managers to me does not imply the quality of the food & or dining expereince would be bad.
To me it signifies that the restaurant owners, ( whether a chain or privately owned) ; wants their patrons to know :
They are HIRING MANAGERS', and
that they do not "only" hire from within their internal pool of possible candidates.
If I chose to dine at such a restaurant,
I would let the current staff know if the dining expereince was pleasurable or not.
And, I would be as specific as possible in my commentary.
I'm a firm believer in feedback good or bad.

being a truck driver i have eaten at many places that had signs like that.. the manager is not that important.. it the cooks and waitress that the ones that run the place.. my wife use to be a short order cook and there was never a manager around just her and the waitresses..

That would send a LOT of RED FLAGS! The same as anything but an A rating for health in the window

Believe it or not, I've had bad service when the managers ARE there!!!! My ex was a manager & he wasn't anything special on the job! So, yea, I'd eat there. If I seen a roach or something, that'd be another story! lol

I think you're getting a little carried away, what's the big deal, Burger King and Wendy"s and Mc Donalds always have signs advertising for managers and such...Ain't no big deal...

It's a title. When you get hired, you "manage" the people that wipes the table and empties the waste baskets.

Yes, why not? I'm sure someone is in charge, they wouldn't just leave the place in chaos or something. You never know what happened to the previous ones. Maybe he/she quit. It doesn't necessarily mean anything bad.

Yes, I would, because it isn't "ran" by just one person, but by many. :)
