I realize that this is a what if question, but I wondered about that when i saw the recent schedule. I kow every time Bonds comes to the plate, a special baseball is put in place. I think the person would have kept the ball myself. Now he has a chace to break record in Milwaukee or Atlanta. Hank Aaron played for both of those teams. How ironic is that? By the way, I am not a fan of Barry Bonds.

Regardless of how you feel about Bonds or the record, anyone who says they would throw the ball back is lying...the ball that he hits for #756 is already projected to auction at a minimum of $500,000. If Todd Macfarlane would pay $3 million for McGwire's #70, who knows what the top end of an auction for this ball would be worth?

To those of you who are parents: that ball, regardless of your feelings, would pay for your children's college education. Are you REALLY even thinking about throwing it back?

I don't think so. It'd be better to keep that one, lest it fall into the hands of Barry Bonds. I think whoever catches it should give it to Hank Aaron, the man who will still hold the MLB record (in my opinion) -- just to spite Bonds.

Of course not. That one that was hit in the stands and was "thrown back" by the fan, according Sportscenter was a regular ball thrown back.

If you get "the ball," sell it as quickly and for as much as possible.

Because in very short order,he will hit another one, and that ball will be a sudden second best. Turn it into cash as fast as you can

I bet people will be carrying balls in their pockets so if they get the real thing, they'll dig in their pocket and throw the fake ball back.
