Can you use Firefox to send in applications for jobs and they get sent successfully or should you use IE?

You should be able to use Firefox to do anything you do with IE. It does not matter to the person receiving the application what browser is used to send it over the Internet.

The two browsers are probably 99% compatible. There are a few javascript functions that may only work in IE and it is bad design to use them. If you are having a problem then switch browsers otherwise use either.
