When Rosie had her first talk show I watched if I was at home. I stopped watching her when she started ambushing some guest like C Heston about gun control. She has the right to free speech but when you go after someone like she did him at the same time you are escorted by a body guard packing a gun I feel that she exercised very poor judgement.
She continued the "in your face" bs just to get ratings and it backfired on her.
She was on the View to beef up ratings for Barbara, as has been mentioned.
In my opinion she should have stayed with acting because she wasn't bad at comedy. She is the perfect example of an actor that has made tons of money and decides one day that they are completely right about anything and everything. Others are beneath them and the more contempt they show the better they personally like it. I'll use Tom Cruise as another example.
With any luck at all she will go away but the truth is that she will cut a deal. She hasn't done radio yet and there is talk of her doing that.

You were not the only one but, even her biggest fans sometimes got tired of her. Especially when she got mad at Kelly Ripa for telling Clay Aiken not to put his hand in her face because she does not know where his hand has been at. Rosie took that to mean that because he is Clay Aiken (who is a closeted gay), that she did that because he was who he is. She pretty much "outed" him on the show when Kelly called Rosie on the View to discuss what had happened. To me, it was pointless.
There were other little things that were annoying as well. But, Barbara knew what she was doing and she wanted her on the show to create controversy and to get that Emmy she wanted-ten years in the making. She was the reason why people watched that show. Now people just watch it to see the possible train wreck and who they are finally going to get to be permanent replacements for the View.
Don't Rosie: we have not heard the last of Miss Rosie O'Donnell.

I think she was good but not great... Only because "the View" was not the correct format for her to be so forceful about her opinions... The view is more for conversational interaction, not controversial and confrontational arguements.

If that is what Rosie is interested in then she she get her own show on CNN or late night and hold debates with guests that know that is the format of the show (just like crossfire on CNN)

I like Rosie most of the time, she seems real, fun, down to earth, motherly and someone I could be friends with but not always agree with. She seems like she would make you laugh but be able to listen to what you feel when things are rough. Sure she stirred things up but that's what those shows are for. She said things some people felt, but it is natural when you talk about being gay or anti-gay or a homo phobe you are really going bring out strong feelings for many people.
I think Rosie has a voice in Hollywood and she uses it and like everyone in the word sometimes she is right on and sometimes a little off but she is not afraid to feel strongly and stick to it.

I didn't watch the view till Rosie got on.
I wanted to hate her, but actually found
her quite entertaining.

I thought she was pretty good, and was
disappointed when she left.

First of all this was a popular subject 2-3 months ago and really is no longer a currtent topic, but yes you are free to ask any question. I was just hoping that when all the drama surrounding her "Royal Largeness" died down, so would all the lame questions about this huge individual.
With that being said.....Rosie is a fake, phoney, mean spirited, loudmouth who enjoys being controversial due to her lack of self-esteem.
She needs to layoff the numerous trips a day to KFC.

I agree with Shawns Bonnie. I liked it in the beginning till she more or less took over the show. Yes she was the moderator but she got carried away with it. She was much nicer person on her own show way back when.

Yes.

Because I certainly don't. She's always going 'you hate gay people!' for no or little reason. Like when Kelly got pissed off at Clay. I don't like Kelly but I think it was wrong of Rosie to keep going 'you got mad cause your homophobic!' She naturally does not get along with anyone.

Probably - she is a big mouthed pig - sorry but that is what she reminds me of. She acts like she knows it all so how come she does not know how to eat right, exercise, and put a muzzle on LMAO

Depends on what you mean by "great". She was great for ratings and controversy and she definitely got viewers to tune in. What I didn't like was how she thought only her opinion mattered. She was so condescending to anyone who didn't agree with her. That does not make for a good host.
