haha touchy topic. Even though I wouldn't consider myself racist or sexist I can tell you that stereotypes don't develop out of thin air, they come from a human's quick need to label and sort things in your life. Unfortunately many people don't take the time to get to know individuals so they just judge them on surface level assumptions but believe it or not, these assumptions can and sometimes are accurate. All races and ethnic groups have stereotypes and it angers people when some of those in the said group fall into the stereotypical niche. I think it is more "wrong" to assume everyone is alike then it is wrong to say, "yeah, lots of black people like fried chicken and watermelon." What's wrong with that? I love both those foods too. Our culture has taboos about labeling but really, that's all it does....it labels and classifies people. There's a double standard when one second society says, "don't be sexist!!" and the next minute you see sexism promoted in commercials, women's magazines, men's magazines and everywhere else.

I think being sexist is...but only if you mean as far as women being sexist towards men. A much larger percentage of men treat women fairly these days, with the respect they demanded, but yet once that happened, women turned around and executed a double-standard. Most women will freely use sexist comments to describe all men in general, which if a man were to do about women would be a sin...but it's okay when they do it for some bizarre reason.

Being Racist is the worse...I cannot stand people who criticize others because of the color of their skin or their cultural up bringing. I am caucasin and my husband is latino and I have seen racism first hand. Especially, with all the controversary involving immigrants...
In regards to being sexist, come on be realistic...I mean there are just some things that women cannot do that men can and visa versa! Like it or not....

Well, being sexist IS kind of like being racist, because you are being racist towards different genders...so i would say racism is worst... because sexists fall in the same category {atleast for me, they do.}
