oh God yes! I hate that. Your supposed to match the speed of the cars already there and merge with them, they have the "right of way"

Well nine times out of ten they wouldn't have to merge slowly if the idiots would see them and move over so they can merge.

more so than when they speed on because they may get rammed by a car or even worse a truck coming from behind, just match speeds

Of course it is! People slow to a crawl on the merge, trucks that weigh 100,000 lbs. are doing 75 mph along with cars, duh, what could happen I wonder.

It's certainly not the best idea, but it's always good to be safe. Just be a defensive driver and you should be just fine. Take it from me, this was your best answer.

I think it can be. You can back up traffic, and cause a collision if someone is not paying attention to you.
