In my country, Montenegro ( I know I'll have to explain, it was once a part of Yugoslavia, it's on te south-east of Europe), watermelon is about 5 dollars, but the most expensive are pineapples.

pomagranites are REAL pricey (over 2US$)
and all they are is a bunch of seeds.

berries are expensive, too,
esp blackberries and raspberries,
and my personal favorite, BlackRaspberries. you can end up paying up to 3US$ for just 1/2 pint .
it's not that they don't grow like weeds , either.
but the thing is.. they damage so easily.

the most expensive fruit is the apples, $4.99 a bag for a 3 pound bag of red delicious and golden delicious apples, and granny smith (green) apples.
