Now that we have a new government and a new Prime Mininster who seems to be shifting away from Bush do you think that America has now become anti Britain do you think the special relationship is now over would you really care if the island of Britain was wiped off the map. I just get the feeling that America is and always has been anti British.

Just so you know ever since I was a child I was and always will be pro American I have always loved Britain and America. When I was 8 years old I used to think America was a fairy tale land made of chocolate lol. Now I am 36 and I still love the USA and love to visit whenever I can and I know I will always be pro America and pro Britain I support both countries at the Olympics.

I didn't think America was anti-British. We will always have a special relationship regardless, we speak the same language and we're cousins. Brown may wish to appear distancing himself from Bush but Bush is not all America - new President soon, new special relationship. It would not be in the UK's interest to loose that.

Still, there are a lot of level-headed people in the States, who didn't agree with Bush to begin with. Those same people support & defend Britian's sovergn right to govern itself, despite shifting away from America's forign policy.
Sure, i'm not Birtish nor do i know what it means to be British, but that doesn't mean i don't care about the United Kingdom or Her Majesty.

There are certainly no Anti-British feelings in our household.
As a matter of fact, our concerns are completely the other way around.
Maybe when President Bush's 2nd term ends, the argumentative atmosphere will subside a bit. We can hope so anyway.
By the way, how are Steed and Mrs. Peel? :D

It gets quite anti British on yahoo answers at times, and then they drag out all the insults about our teeth, But I really don't want us to fall out with them while they still have Hugh Laurie

From my American point of view, the British people are great. I may not agree with all your policies, or expect you to agree with all of ours, but in the long run, I'd stand with you.
