I didn't understand the nerdy attraction to golf until I met a golf freak. TV golf bores me, though.

This boyfriend I had got me lessons and clubs. We never played the same course everytime. We traveled to different courses in different states, usually walking the 18 holes in the sunshine. We met different people, too. It was fun, until I started having back problems and needed to quit.

If you are a single lady and want to meet some guys, I strongly advise playing golf, and playing it well!

Yes. If you've ever tried playing it, you realize it's extremely challenging. Once you get better it becomes very fun!

For businessmen and businesswomen golf is also a fantastic way to build relationships -- a large percentage of high-level decision-makers play golf. If you develop your game you can enjoy lots of "fun" business golf trips that are quite enjoyable and, in the long term, profitable!

I played Lights Out Golf at the mall recently. It was invigorating, but I lost. It was fun cause I played it with my BF, though.
I do see an attraction to golf, actually. I have always liked hitting small round objects with bigger, long objects. No, seriously. Kind of weird, but I think I would like it. I don't think I could know how right away, though. I would like to try it, without the stupid hats and plaid shorts. lol

yes, it can be fun ! You don't have to be a pro. Go do it with the right attitude. If you don't golf, get out there and act like you do. Keep a serious face, and get a bunch of laughs out of it ! I don't bowl, but I can still have fun, and when I toss the ball, sometimes I get to meet people 5 alleys over !

No. None whatsoever. Seems to be a game where you walk around looking for a ball you shot off heaven knows where whilst some poor person toddles behind lugging a heavy bag. End of session is you try to lose sight of the ball you have been watching all the time, by shoving it into a hole in the grass.

I don't, because I'm a person with no patience for that. But, I think, golf is a very good exercise for the nerve system.

Only slightly more than watching paint dry. Someone (Mark Twain?) said golf is a good walk spoiled. I'm inclined to agree.
