Yes and no. There are men who still have this characteristic in them despite the female movement into independence. I don't think it should die, I enjoy it.

Chivalry in men seems to be usually reserved to the older generation, it's part of them.

I looked up the word chivalrous to make double sure of its meaning and there are many men, and women, in my life who qualify. Thank Goodness.

No, however, I will treat ladies w/ respect if they show respect in return.
There are women, and a more than half that are treated they way they treat.
Chivilary is dying.

depends upon the circumstances. sometimes we are as this was the way we were brought up yet there are times when the Ladies prefer for us not to be with remarks such as " I can do it, myself. "
