has anyone else had this or heard of this happening?
i had it less than a year, got it new from apple store in december. it started not wanting to charge, then would freeze in the middle of a song... when we took it back to the apple store they said it just burned itself out.
i plan to call apple and demand a new one- less than a year life is bs in my book. i didn't spend that much on it for less than a year of use. it's not like i abused it or let the battery wear out or anything bad!
i'm oh so upset! lol

the ipod i bought orig was off ebay. it didn't work. i brought it to apple and they replaced it with brand new. the orig was bought in june of 06- so the warranty for that expired.
the one apple gave me was only 7 months old. that's my problem- a 7mo old ipod shouldn't die so soon

yeah right we know you dropped it a bunch of times and so will they ha ha ha just kidding... man did they see YOU coming. how do you know it was even brand new when you got it from ebay.. someone might have repackaged it? i never do ebay cause i've heard too many stories like yours from other people. i always buy stuff at reputable stores.. i may pay more but if i have any probs i just return it and get BRAND NEW replacements... i never HEARD of getting a USED IPOD. LOL listen... why don't you quit whining and chalk it up to a learning experience, go and buy an IPOD BRAND NEW, in its original packaging... from the store... and.... keep your receipt. i might even suggest buying an additional warranty when you buy the IPOD as not too bad an idea either

if u have a warranty they'll give u a new one. if u don't, they probably won't. mine wouldn't turn off 4 some reason. but I waited like a couple days and tried again and it worked. they do have problems sometimes. good luck!

It should have a warranty...take it back to where you purchased it, and demand to have it fixed or receive a new one.
