Yes, it certainly is. We no longer have a unified society due to this "Cult of Multiculturalism." Look at how many people in the US can't speak or write English. And many black Americans have rejected the dominant culture in favor of the Nation of Islam or the Hip-Hop, rap, gangster culture. Our society is falling apart, and we need to stress what Americans have in common, instead of what makes us different. We need a unifying culture that stresses hard work, assimilation, higher education, honesty, law-abiding behavior, respect for authority, and patriotism.
Millions of minority group members in the US and most white socialists do not hold these values.

No, it's not a threat. People can assimilate into American culture and still manage to hold on to their culture, for example like food and clothes.
Think how boring America would be if we didn't have multicultural restaurants to choose from.

I think that multiculturalism helps us to understand and embrace that we are not the only country in the world. It is great for children to experience multicultural activities. Aside from social awareness, it can lead to lots of great conversation about geography, cooking, living conditions, etc.

America is built on multiculturalism. It is a multicultural Nation bound together through the ideals of our Constitution. That said, we cannot permit a second or third official langauge divide the Nation. We must maintain one. A Nation must communicate.

Yes. While it is quite appropriate to have pride in your heritage, "multi-culturalism" is divisive. Split everyone into racial or ethnic groups? African Americans, Asian American, Anglo Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans......why not "AMERICANS". Remember what Lincoln said about a house divided? The American culture is crumbling into little individual pieces when we should be trying to find what binds us together instead of what separates us!

Not Multiculturalism itself, but the assertion by the different cultural bigots themselves that they're "owed" their own set of rules, language, preferential treatment, etc. IS a threat. The rule is, if you come to MY house, MY rules apply... you don't get to set the standards or treatment in MY house, I do! America is a "house" for all freedom-loving people, if you don't like the rules, then get the H out or change the rules legitimately - by bills and voting, NOT using Liberal courts to sue for unintended "rights" that don't exist. Prisoners of war, ie terrorists, ARE NOT US citizens, they are not ENTITLED to our rules of law. Neither are border-crossing, law-breaking South American peoples, or Arabic people coming to this country to practice Jihad. Come here, integrate with our society, keep your culture, but don't try to impose it on the MAJORITY of citizens in a way that offends US - thru fiat by court or lawsuit, not popular vote. - The Gremlin Guy -

Multiculturalism IS america - so not at all. You would do away with China town, with Indian reservations, with Japanese restaurants and make EVERYONE drive a pickup truck and eat hamburgers - sorry, they're too German - steaks?
