Hi,

Since area = length x width, then

A = 5 2/3 x 4 3/4 =

17.....19
----..x.---- =
..3.......4

323
------ =
12

26 11/12

The area is 323/12 or 26 11/12 square units

area = 17/3 * 19/4
area = 323/12
area = 26 11/12

Area formula for a rectangle

A = L x W

A = (5 2/3)(4 3/4)

A = (17/3)(19/4)

A = 323 / 12

A = 26.9166666666. . .

A = 26.92

Area=Length multiply by the width
