For such an important position, should there not be batteries of psychological tests done and the results made part of the public debate of who is best qualified? Should we not know whether they have read Machiavelli and the Art of WAr or whether they have read at all?

Yes, any candidate for president should undergo such a battery of tests. In fact, any candidate for major public office should. That is a great suggestion. You should forward that to your Senator and Representative.

Look at Germany 1932. The most sophisticated democracy in the world at that time elected a total monster. It could easily happen to us.

Seriously, make the suggestion.

Anyone who dares run for the highest office of this country must be mad. Look at some of the things being said on this site. I'm new here and am astounded at some of the things that I'm reading.

Would a sane person run? I have my doubts.

We haven't had one yet.

You mean AGAIN?
If we did Clinton, Obama, Rudy and Thompson would not be ahead in the polls. Joe Bidden would be ahead for the Dem and Paul would lead the GOP ticket.

I think the first step, although some people will hate this statement, is to realize that if our next President is ok with the killing of unborn Children, then he would be unfit to serve as President.

You're not going to get anything other than madmen and megalomaniacs.

Clinton's not a man? She's more more of a man than any of them, and madder too.
