give out special give aways that way people will remember you. Even though your party sucks by the end of the party you give them good and special giveaways they'll think that your party is the best. People always come to parties for the give aways

In general, I always make sure I have plenty of.....FOOD, ICE, and DRINKS. Variety is always good when it comes to food and drinks. Always have plenty of tables and chairs for people to sit, talk eat and drink. If kids will be there, make sure you have some drinks for them...soda juice tea water. Some sort of activities for the kids would be good, it's keeps them out of trouble and they leave the adults alone. Oh I almost forgot>>>>>>>>>>>>>Music!!! you need music loud but not to loud where people can't talk.

It depends on what party your having. But I recommend to put on the best music and drinks. Add some more reality like a contest or something.. And don't let your guest to just sit there entertain them or intruduce him/her to another friend you know.
