All the so called hallucinogens have the effect of reducing the veil that surrounds us. This makes us more susceptible to the presents of the divine force. This is the same effect as the tree of knowledge. The ability to sense the plane that you will exist on after you die can help to prepare you for your continued journey through your single strand of time that are your LIVES. Yes there is opposition to that knowledge. There is opposition to many truths by those that wish to interfere with the inevitable truth that will expose many things that have been hidden from us.
To make it legal would put an end to a HUGE undocumented cash flow. I am sure there are lobbyists that do not want that to happen. I am also sure that there are people in the government that are willing to take their money. It is green after all.
Do not expect anything of value to the people, to come from our government until we make it against the law to PAY a lobbyist.
All government officials should have all their assets FROZEN while in office. Capitalism is conflict of interest when it effects our government.

The government shows no signs of being afraid of the population, jade, or no jade.
They've had a close look at all the jade users rotting away in jails and found them unthreatening, as a group.
But, of course, a lot of weight ought to be given to what Hopis believe.
[Where'd you hear that one? Hopis are the same as everyone else. Some are Catholics, some are Dutch somethingorotherists, some are athiests, some do, believe in their older teachings.
This weird city-folk notion that Native Americans and their various belief systems contain something the rest of humanity would find spiritually valuable haven't driven the highway between, say, Gallup, NM, and Shiprock, NM, on Sunday morning. The legion of staggering hangovers, and hangovers-to-be headed back to the Rez ought to offer some insight about the matter.
There's a Yahoo QA regular who bills himself as a Cherokee shaman and posts an almost-daily litany of questions of the, 'which would you rather be?' variety. If you want that sort of thing you don't have to go all the way to Hopi land. Nor all the way to MJ]

Well then.
You make a good point but also never mention the fact about the rest of the crap on the streets that most people can get hold of.
Does CAN lead to more people wanting a stronger taste of street drugs that gives everyone a problem that has to deal with the drugs in this World.
I think I could go on, but at the end of the day I know many a CAN user who will use at there own discretion and mostly for the relief of stress that the new world of 2000 demands.
The US understood that in the sixties the so called hippy make Love not War group were spaced out on it to a point that people inside Asia refused to fight.
I think the point was made very clearly in the Foerst Gump movie.
As for myself I like the odd beer to relax and wind down, this is me.
The hard drugs need to be wiped out.
God sent everything we deal with in day to day Life.
Keep the faith and read the 12 comms.
I do not think he mentioned anything about Man getting spaced out each day, even though most do on booze that he provided.
How many mentions in the bible of the grape and wine and a beer.

Governments can't tax and measure the growth or use of marijuanna unless they change the laws to support that proposition and they are beginning to do just this, beginning to ask what is a good legal amount for use for medical purposes and asking the states to make laws to say when and how and how much can legally be grown, it is not all good and has a lot of side effects like any other thing so one takes a risk and not all people like the way it makes them feel either, what might seem good for some is definitely not good for all

the only reason cannabis is illegal is because it cannot be adequately taxed, as it can't be controlled coming over the border or personal growing...same reason moonshine was outlawed because the gov't couldn't tax it.
