Once you have songs saved in a desktop folder, how do you put them on iTunes. When I click FILE , ADD FILE TO LIBRARY and click on the song i want, nothing comes up....i'm so confused help plz!

I forgot to mention....i'm getting these songs from vixy.net.....and i put them under mp4 cuz it sed iPod next to that one........are they supposed to be mP3??

Make sure they are in MP3 format then instead of adding the file to iTunes library. 'Import' files into iTunes library.

Edit.
No I think MP4s are ok. M4Ps are a be-yatch, they only work with the iTunes they are registered to.
ITunes can be very fussy with file formats.

You need to open itunes and look for the instructions on how to import/convert to itunes.
I've done it once but don't remember the whole process.Hope this helps!

if they are in the proper format you can also highlight and drag them to your music folder on itunes and it should update.
if they aren't in the proper format to be recognized by your ipod you will have to convert them or download them in proper format... i recommend limewire
