First thing you need to do is purchase a power adapter for the country/countriesd you will be in. They are easily acquired at Radio Shack or Wal Mart. Just ask for a European power adapter and they should point you in the right direction.
Getting online might be more of a challenge though. You will need to research where you are going now and try and find places that offer free wireless access. Also you can call the hotel and see if they offer wireless, many do. If you have a cell phone, you can call them and see if they offer cell access in the countries you are visiting and purchase an aircard to access the internet --NOTE THIS MAY BE VERY COSTLY in per minute charges!!

Follow the first post, then bring along a 3 meter LAN cable. Practice connecting to a router w/ your LAN cable and also using wireless if your laptop is equipped. You enable the connection through Network Connections in Control Panel.
