That will teach them to roll about in the store, throwing tantrums.. lol ..I'm kidding.. I think..

That is not something that I have ever seen (Although I have seen people smack/spank their kids in public)

One persons beating .. is another persons smacking .. or @ss whopping, depends on definitions.... but if beating means punching... or even slapping around the face area... something would have to be done, or at least said.

but from what I see when i'm out ... more kids need to be spanked.....!!.. and some of the parents too...

dR bad
yeah .. some of those mummies are hot ;-)

What is your definition of "beating"? if it is doubling up your fist and hitting a child then I will detain that person until i or someone else can get the police there. If its a "spanking" I say have at it! this world needs more discipline these days children are running wild! don't be scared to spank children but do not beat them!

By beating if you mean giving them a spanking or discipline, then nothing. BUT IF and this is IF it were obvious abuse then I would call the cops and might very well step in. Depending on if the child involved were getting physically hurt.

I have and will continue to step in when I see any degree of abuse on a child.

I first inform the parent that I'm the guy in the crowd who calls the police. That usually stops the action in its tracks and I am able to back it up. Then I ask what the child did to warrant such action. If they refuse to say and give me a bunch of crap I call the store security and the cops. There is usually a clerk nearby who will witness with me. This has never failed me.

There is a difference between "beating" and "disciplining"--and if I saw someone BEATING their child, h e l l yes I would--if nothing less call the police and report them. Discipline like A (I said "A") smack on the hiney, nope---I think a lot of what is wrong to day with kids that have no manners, no respect, and no guidelines--is no discipline. So I think that if you teach them to respect ALL adults, that there ARE consequences to inappropriate behavior, and that you WILL NOT tolerate disrespect and bad behavior, we wouldn't have so many problems with our kids today!!!

Just my opinion!!!

depends, if the kid is screaming and going on like an animal then most probably I'd look the other way but I really cant stand it when people hit their children in public for no reason.

You need to teach children and then enforce the teaching not just hit and beat your kid cause you don't know how to control them in public.

I also believe that people should have to get some form of permit or license before they are allowed to have kids cause most people don't know what the hell they doing and have children for the stupidest reasons!!!

Depends- if the kid deserves a spanking- then I would ignore it- it is no ones business- and frankly- there is nothing wrong with swatting you kid on its a.s.s. sometimes. But, if there was a real beating going on, like punching and smacking on the face over and over- I would stop that person, and ask them what the heck was going on!
