HELLO!!!!!
I thought I was the only one who really misses the roadrunner and coyote, and Bugs Bunny, and all of the GOOD cartoons we used to watch! Its all like kiddie soap operas now!! They suck! You're right! We should petition the networks! Start a cartoon revolution!!! LOL.... but I have to be back at work on Monday!

OMG!! Do we really need see news almost 24/7 from the networks?!! I grew up in the 70's and can remember a preview show for all the new cartoons that were airing in the fall. Scooby Doo, Wacky races, Laff Olympics were great!! Now I think with channels like Nickelodeon and cartoon network which run them 24 hours a day, kids get there fix anytime they want. But back in the day, we only had saturday mornings.

The network ones are pretty bad, all about "lessons and morals" not like the old Warner Bros. cartoons. Nickelodeon has some funny shows, I watch Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob Squarepants with my son and there's something to laugh at for both of us. Public TV has Thomas the Tank Engine, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Curious George if you're looking for an alternative.

They have been requantified.
82% of networked cartoons have been rated J by the Cartoon Classification Association Of America which is a rating above their expected Universal assessment. The J for juvenile means that most of them can't be recycled until they've been fully delimetered and that is unlikely to happen before March 2009.

Perhaps you are getting older and that's why they seem unwatchable? At least that's what I think is happening to me. I too feel like there are no good cartoons anymore.

Good cartoons are gone forever, I think. If I had small kids, I don't think I would let them watch what is available now on Saturday mornings.

there were never Saturday morning cartoons.... you just quit smoking pot..... all those shows you thought were cartoons...
they were real f*cking shows.....
Scooby Doo.... oh yeah that was was one of the first reality shows about a dog dective and his hippy owner that lived off all of Scooby's hard work.... the show jumped the shark when Scrappy came along.... and the Velma got into a contract hold out after that Playboy shoot.. thought the whole show revolved around her and scarf wearing Fred sneaking off to f*ck...
anyways might point is... tivo Adult Swim.. and watch it Saturday morning...
