You could add any tropical fish with your goldfish, but you need a heater as well as a bigger tank for your goldfish of at least a 30 gallon tank, otherwise you will stunt them and they will die a cruel death
They grow optically to the size of the tank, but their organs don't stop growing, and they die very cruel
hope that helps
Good luck

you can find a great selection at the website below.
as for goldfish in a 10-gallon tank.....i think you need to know a few things about goldfish. they grow between 6" to a foot long in no time hence the reason why they require a 30-gallon tank minimum. they also create so much waste that your ammonia levels in your tank will be off the chart and you will be making more water changes than you need to.
stick with fish that are only suited for your specific gallon tank size. you can have up to tweleve fish in a 10-gallon tank, by the way.
as for invertebrates, stick with a freshwater snail that will serve as an algae eater since plecostomus, even common plecostomus found in pet stores and wal-mart, require a minimum tank size of 40 gallons!

Small community fish. A dwarf gourami, some neon tetras and a few dwarf cory catfish provides you with an incredible little community tank. approximately 10 small fish in entire. Makes optimistic the heater isn't too vast for a 10 gal. Ian

First off, a gold fish is not compatible with a 10 gallon tank. Mature gold fish grow to 12" or more. They need 20+ gallons each.
I honestly wouldn't consider adding anything more. Tropical fish are generally not compatible for temperature differences, but also because the waste levels from gold fish will kill most tropical fish.

i would get another type of gold fish--they come in all colors and shapes plus they r not tropical they don't require heated water and they are nasty i would not mix goldfish with tropicals(by nasty i mean u have to have a good filter system because their waste will harm tropical fish.
