I once worked at a paint store that closed early on sundays.
Always, without fail, when we tried to close out the registers and go home, someone would come to the door and peer in and hope we would help them even though we couldn't ring up their purchase anymore.
It got so frequent that we would hide on the floor behind the counter so no one would see us counting money, and expect us to help them.
Some people would beat on the door!! It was crazy how often that happened.

I nipped into the paper shop yesterday when I saw an old friend who has lost her marbles coming towards me.
I wasn't in the mood to hear how much the lord has done for her.
She had told me a million times before...lol
