I would advise against changing the speed as your computer needs to be kept cool and the repair people must have changed it for a reason.

When you first turn the power on to your computer, your fan will run at its full speed. Then, as the BIOS loads, it may change the fan programming to make it spin at a lower speed. After the operating system loads, it may also change the fan control programming to make the fan spin at a lower speed. So the sound you hear when you first turn the computer on is that fan spinning at full speed. Later, it may only go up to full speed if the computer is hot. If the sound you hear when you first turn the computer on is the same sound you have always heard, then the problem is that the fan is being told to spin faster. If the new sound is louder on startup than the fan was before, then the problem is that the fan is louder at the same speed. Is the loud sound at startup the same as the sound was at startup before? Or is the loud sound at startup louder than previous startup sounds?

yes you can change the speed of your fan, but i don't think this is your problem, you say that it is running all the time since coming back from repair, it seems that something has been knocked or moved, i think you should take it back and get them to have a look, however, a noisy fan is usually down to dust and dirt inside the computer, your repairman has probably not given it a good clean. get inside the computer, give it a clean with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner, maybe a little lubrication too. take care and good luck.

Leave the speed. Its probably noisy because its low on lubricant, since most fans need oil. Remove the sticker from the fan lay it down horizontal and put one drop of thin oil like virgin olive on the spindle push it gently a few times to get the oil in and it should stop the noise!

In many cases you can change the fan setting in the BIOS but the fan will still go full blast when processor gets HOT. Better change your heatsink/fan with something better and not noisy. Consider this:

Definitely you can change the speed of the fan of your computer.
Access your computer BIOS and select the option which says something related to temperature and fan speed of your cabinet.
there you can change the speed of your fan

Not that I know of, but you can clean the fan. It's also good for the speed of your computer.

my friend you can change fan speed through bios, but I am not sure about your system configuration and specification, if they were also mentioned, I would have guided you more properly
