my wireless connection gets kicked off when a neighbour comes on an all i can pick up is his but its 2 weak.?

my wirless connection is fine until one of my neighbours comes on his pc then my pc cant find my wireless connection.My connection is an unsecured network,so is his I have set his connection to on demand but it makes no difference.

In the router's setup page try changing the channel your wireless signal is being broadcast out on, setup mac address filtering, and by all means .. turn on encryption, wpa is better then wep.

That will fix your problem!! For accessing the router's setup page consult the router's owners manual.

well, to me it sounds like the issue is in your wireless access. It may be thinking that the constant incoming packets from the game are a hack attack, and shutting down the portal. Try going in and 'forcing' the port to stay open. Either that, or just power cycle (shut power off for 5 - 10 secs.) and you should be back in business.

Routers have 13-15 different frequencies

change yours to a new frequency range

if your neighbor stops affecting you then you just
both had the same settings

if it continues then he is stealing your IP and service

read your Router manual

Your writing is vague. Is this your network or your neighbor's network. If it is yours, secure your network and keep freeloaders and hackers out. It is way to risky to allow freeloaders on your network. Check with your router manual to see how this is properly done.

If it is your neighbor's connection, this is what you get for illegal hacking. Buy your own connection.
