I have friends with dyslexia that wasn't diagnose while they were still at school. The system slipped up since they didn't get the help they had a right to.
I know of people that didn't manage to focus on their schooling because of bullying that the school knew about. That's another system slip up.
Did something like that happen to you? You did your best but didn't get the help that you had a right to? Then you can blame the system to a certain degree. (But not all the way.)
Is it your fault that you are a bad speller ... in the end Yes. You know that you have a spelling problem and ... well since you know there is a problem it's up to you to fix it.
My spelling is pi** poor and my grammar is odd, I know that and I do my best to fix it. I use the newest Firefox as my browser since it has a built in spell check. That's not enough though since the spell check doesn't correct correctly spelled words used in the wrong way and sometimes it suggests changes that is not even close to what I'm trying to say. ... and there is no correction for grammar.
I'm not bothered by bad spelling, if it's "that" important to me I'll use the spell check on it for myself.
(Chat speak on the other hand drives me up the wall. If "u" can't find the "y" and the "o" on your keyboard I really don't think you can find enough letters to carry on a coherent conversation.)
Oh, and from what I have seen at Y&A there isn't anything wrong with your spelling. ;)

Lots of teachers have not enough knowledge to be able to check a student for his/her preferred representational systems. Kinesthetic (Feeling oriented) or mainly auditory oriented students have it much more harder to learn to spell then visual oriented kids. Even if you are a bit older you could improve your spelling with the NLP spelling strategy.
I know a child whose spelling was very poor and the teacher stamped her as a bit behind in her intellect, whereas she had problems with her eyes, which one fantastic teacher found out.
I believe that it is not your fault that you are a bad speller.
Forgive the system, and take responsibility now for it. There are ways you can improve that now.

Yes it's your fault...in this day and age with computers and whatnot, nobody has an excuse to be a poor speller.

It's YOUR fault! Take responsibility for not having learned how to spell, AND how to use spell check on your computer!
Even a monkey can click on the icon that says "check spelling"

If you know that you're a bad speller and you don't try to fix it, then the blame falls back on you.

your education is your responsibility.
if you feel you are lacking in the ability to spell properly and that your grammer is lacking it's up to you to do something about it.
get some high school english books and study. aquire some spelling books too. inquire at your local community college or vocational schools if they have courses that can help you.
it's never too late to become educated. if you have to ask then you realize there is a problem

If you've got spell check, there's no reason anything should be misspelled. As for sentence structure, you need to read more books.

it's not ur fault as such, but then it's ur responsibility to try and improve ur spellings (obvious in ur question were ur misspellings and mis-construction of sentence.) No, it's not system slip-up.

It is if you still misspell words with a convenient spell checker button on the same screen.
