only good thing i like in sachin is that he has scored the most number of ODI centuries in the world

SACHIN has scored more runs and made more 100's but ponting has a better average,sachin chokes in the big games like world cup 2003 and ponting always produces his best when it matters so for me id rather have ponting in my team.

Tendulkar has more test runs, but Ponting has the best test batting average. In ODIs they have similar averages, though Tendulkar has more runs. Ponting is younger, with several more years of international cricket left, and I think he will turn out to be the champion!
