God did not purposely wanted those people to live in those kind of conditions, no food, no roof, and druggy parents....people created those conditions for themselves.
Besides "God" is transcendental, God knows that this is only a material world and there will be suffering, destruction and decay to balance out the peace, calm, and tranquility. God is a creator and a destroyer, God doesnt wear a pink out fit and dances with the fairies.

Bad things happen to be certain, that doesn't disprove the existance of God. Now it's not the 9 year old child's fault, but if two drug users (people living outside the will of God) get together and have sex they will have children. Is this God's fault?
People assume God doesn't exist or that he's cruel when we logically do bad things all the time and turn away the help he sends and yet somehow God still gets the blame.
I think we need to view the world's problem, realize that the solution that God created for these problems might be you and me and that it won't be easy.
Maybe if I spent less time on Y! Answers and more time trying to fix this planet the world would be a better place.
It's my fault and your fault, don't even try to blame God.

I cant believe some of the people who have answered this question eg The Brian. Are you serious? You say it is not God's fault but if God is omnipresent and all powerful he has the power to rescue innocent people from dire circumstances, and if God doesnt rescue people then he is either a sadist or he just couldnt care less about anybody. Never mind people getting their reward in heaven, it doesnt justify people having to suffer on earth. Jesus may have died on the cross but he knew nothing about the real suffering that some people have to go through. He always had enough to eat and clothes to wear and an education and he came from a middle class family (carpenters) who cared about him and went looking for him when he disappeared. He had it easy compared with a hell of a lot of people living in Africa, Siberia, China, the slums of Rio de Janeiro etc. He never had parents who died young from Aids or had to scavenge on rubbish dumps for food or go without warm clothing or shelter or shoes. The whole "God sees the tiny sparrow fall" c r a p makes my blood boil when so much of the world is suffering.

We all live different lives with different experiences...some beyond our control, some of our own making. It is our way of learning and growing, and experiencing. If everyone had wonderful, "perfect" lives, we would never be able to progress, never be able to learn from mistakes or hardships. Not to say that some of life's experiences are not fair, or dont seem reasonable...for sure, alot of them seem senseless. But, there is a purpose to it all, whether we can understand it or not. No one would be who they are, at the end of their lives, had they not had to go through tough times, unfair times and hardships. It is what we learn from these experiences, and what we do in reaction to these experiences that makes the measure of the person. The ability to cope with hardships, to make the most of what you DO have, and to see opportunities where there may seem to others that there are none, is what counts in the end. We are the sum of our experiences and the lessons that we have learned.

The problems you are talking about are caused by man not God. He cannot intervene because He gave His creation the precious gift of free will. We have to make better choices as a race and learn to love as He intended. Only then will the kind of circumstances you describe cease to be.

You should read Night by Eli Wiesel. It's about the holoucost and how the author lost his faith because of all the crap that happens. I think that people are, to an extent, responsible for themselves but sometimes situations arise that they have no control over and you need to know that to get out of it you need to believe in you, not just god or whatever.

I think that we as humans have ability to change our lives for the better ( thts wat free will is for) so not everything is gods fault except things like africa where the weather is getting worse, but then again isnt tht our fault for distroying the ozone layer? Isnt it the man who went over to africa and stole all of the coco fruits and coffee in the cold war making them poor? And still dont allow fairtrade? We have the ability to make our own choices in life, God cant be blamed for everything.

a little thing to explain this....a man was at a barber shop getting a haair-cut and beared trimmed..during the conversation the topic of GOD came up and the barber said.i dont beleive there is a GOD..the man didnt say anything ..he didnt want to get in an argument..after the cutting as he was going out of the shop he saw a man with long untidy hair and a grizzly beard who was in urgent need of cutting..the man said to the barber i think there are no barbers in this city .the barber said..how can you say that i just did your hair and beard..the man said well look at that person outside....
secondly its our own deeds and actions that result in situations like this and in the end our family or the people around us have to suffer....its no fault of the girl...i think this should clear.

It beats me why people bother to ask and thank 'god' for anything.
Some of us get the opportunity to better ourselves and some don't.
Poor people are mostly the ones who pray hard for their lives to change...but mostly it doesn't.
