Leadership is defined as the ability of an individual to lead a certian group to a movement for a cause. Good leaders possess the following characters:
a.) optimistic
b.) approachable
c.) courageous

If you want to possess all these, I am telling you that it will be very difficult. Even if you will attend all leadership seminars in the world, you will soon find out that you are still missing something, you will soon find out that you still lack something in order to become a good leader. But remember that even those people who we termed as great leaders, such as Alexander the Great, had also flaws. They are not perfect. But they strived to be one.

Good ( as opposed to Gud communication skills are essential ) - the shortest patht to being a great leader for young people starts in organizations like the Boy Scouts - Eagle Scouts are recognised for their leadership abilities. THe US military academies are the next best place to become leaders - there is not a place on earth that will give you opportunites like the US military and Coast Guard Academies ..the down side is that you might get killed on the battle field given the generational war we are in ..

Leadership is BS. As a student leader myself I admit I get more credit than what I work for.

Just be good to people, do your job, go above and beyond, and set a good example. Never get into arguments and stay away from those who try to bring you down. Then when you command something, people will listen.
