Is there a school like Juilliard and NYU but not as expensive?

Like them in what way? Those are very different schools! If you mean is there a cheaper school in New York, of course. If you mean is there a really good school that is cheaper, look at some of the better public schools (although the best aren't in New York, so you would have to pay out-of-state tuition, but it might still be cheaper).

The music programs at Brooklyn College and Queens College are fantastic- they are competitive, and you will have the option of Julliard for grad school if you do really well. They are also well respected and very cheap.
