When it comes to news, documentaries, do you really rely on your media?.
Heck they convinced you Iraqis were miles away to invade America...(Our ways of life is threatened).., and you were beating the war drums and got too patriotic. ONLY to find out North Korea and Iran poses a serious threat than poor Saddam Hussein sanctioned for years.
Bring back my dumb brother home from Iraq.

I don't believe a lot of what the media tells me, but they've cornered the market. Where else do I go for information?

Where else am I going to get world information - from a little bird? Of course I rely on the media for information! Do I TRUST the media? Of course not. That's why I refer to a wide variety of sources. There are still a few reporters out there that the government doesn't control.

Maybe it's different because I'm in Australia and they did not have me convinced about these things but everyone relies on the media, hell, Yahoo answers is a form of media. I think that its important to rely on several sources, not just the one to get a more realiable understanding.

No, because the media is mostly owned by rich Republicans so they never portray the truth and are out of touch with the truth.

I don't watch all the Media I stick to The Fox network.I read News week when possible,but for the real deal I read Rolling Stone,they tell it like it is.

i wouldve expected something different from a person who has family in the military. my family hates what the president is doing but they support me and the troops.
and i dont think anyone takes the media seriously unless its a high speed chase on the freeway.

cynical and skeptical of the news media as they can make the truth seem like lies and lies seem like the truth. everyone should be able to determine that not everything is what it appears to be at first glance.
