I don't believe they fear being loved. They fear being rejected after they have given love in return.

because love in itself is a blessing and a curse. you cant live without it but you cant live with it either. sometimes people love for the point of being able to fulfill that ultimate "love" quest of relationships... others love because thats what they're conditioned to do and hope that its what love is .. and others, dont know how to love because love is such a different, confusing, heart wrenching, mind boggling word, emotion, feeling that differs from one to another.
In the end, did we really love at all??
thats when fear sets in ....

Because they fear being dumped. Its simple if you fall in love odds are good that you will get hurt. And that sucks.
