I missed my period for two months now, and just last week I went to the free clinic to check if i was pregnant, and it came out negative. I took 5 already between my missed period timing, and still negative. So the doctor gave me PROVERA to have my period. I had no instructions on when I was going to expect my period, but it is day 5 (2 pills daily for 5 days). I still have not gotten a period. How long will it take for my period to come after i complete the pills. Anyone know? PLEASE HELP. gettin worried.

Stress can affect our periods as the previous poster suggested but also sometimes how much exercise we do can affect periods.

As for the issue with the Provera I would recommend calling the free clinic again and ask for more specific information on how long to take this medication before knowing when the period is coming.

That happens to me all the time. Think of it as a blessing. Who said we are SUPPOSED to have a period EVERY month anyway?
Anyway, it's really nothing to worry about, many things can cause missed periods. Like change of diet and stress. It's no big deal.
It's a vacation, learn to love it. I do.
