Right now I'm dating someone because it's... well good for me. I'm not gay, but I'm faking it so I can go out with this popular guy who pretty much gives me social protection and a popular ranking in school. But see... After so much of faking being gay, will it eventually create a psychological change in me and make me gay... or can I keep going straight without being changed by this?

Help?

Woah, no, no. I'm not gay. I have it all planned out. When I can't get anything else out of him socially, I plan to end it and go date this one girl who I know. And you don't understand my school is probably filled with more gays than a lot of others.

Pfft... I knew people wouldn't understand this superficial attitude of mine.

Sorry buddy, but I doubt its 100% faking. And you get social status in your school for being gay?

Not like my school was then.

Speaking of which, why didn't you just date a popular girl if your so sure your straight? I mean, you got the most popular guy, right?

Dude! Don't ever use people for self gain. It will always come back and bite you in the A**. Find your own friends by being yourself, you will be better off. You don't have to be someone you are not. If you befriend this guy after you get what you want from him, you are not going to like the outcome. If he is the social butterfly you claim he is, he is just going to turn everybody against you. Better to make friends than make enemies any day.

Klein's research led him to declare that sexual orientation is not fixed, and that one person could have many phases throughout his or her life.

That said, only you can know for sure what you feel. If this other guy knows that you are straight and that you want to remain so, I don't see a problem. If he doesn't know or if you find yourself unsure of what you want, the best thing for you to do would be to talk to him.

You need to face the fact that you are gay. You're just giving excuses, but I bet you get a b0ner when he touches you.

Wow.. I didn't realize people faked being gay. This is news to me. Are you sure you're not just in denial?

Why do you need sombody to lean on? Social protection? Can't you stand on your own two feet?

I'd set aside most of the coming year for therapy if I were you.

Does he know you're faking it, or are you just using him? If you're using him, then I hope you do become gay. Karma's a limp-wristed bit*h.
