Over the past year I have seen so many black women and white men together. For years, many white men have thought of black women as ugly but all of a sudden they seem to be understanding how fine they are.
As a black man, I have always gone for black women as they generally are prettier, more direct, have curvier figures and are amazing in bed - in my humble opinion.
I must admit to getting a bit jealous when I see a white guy with a really hot sister. Is this how white men used to feel when black men used to date their women?
Black women used to be more loyal to black men but it seems that they are starting to find white men more attractive.
Are these statements true or am I just paranoid

Why does it matter? If a white man what's to date a black woman, he can. And if a black woman wants to date a white man, she can. Times are changing, and people are opening their eyes to more possibilities, people are looking less at race as a factor for how they will treat or deal with someone. I think this is a wonderful thing, and I hope the number of this sort of relationship keeps increasing. *u*

Most black women I know date within their race but I think that might change the day many white guys find another strategy of getting noticed by black women. Most women in their right minds want to be told they are pretty, nice to be with etc. Everyone knows thats the way it works with women, not the other way round.

Oh for God's sake. You make it sound like an epidemic. I beg to differ with your statement that White men used to think Black women were ugly for one. For another, I will never understand why someone could be jealous about two people they don't even know. Yes, it's true that most Black women do prefer to date within their race, but some have always dated outside of it. I don't understand how this affects you personally, and moreover, there are WAY more Black men dating White women, so I suggest you correct that "problem" first.
P.S.- I could have been mean and said what a lot of people are saying, which is that Black women are beginning to date White men more because there are so many Black men who are either gay or prefer another race, especially once they start to become successful.
*I never said I believed the myths or thought that about you. I said I could say what others have said because your rant is frustrating to hear. I suggest that you take your own advice about not believing myths.

EM this has been happening since forever, but there has been a sharp rise in the last few years because a lot of black women are starting to realize that in order to find a perfect mate, they must widen their dating options to include white and other nonblack men. And to correct you, not all white men think black women are ugly, in fact there are more white men willing to date/marry black women (THIS SHOULD TELL YOU THEY ARE ATTRACTED TO BLACK WOMEN) than black women who feel the same way about white men. In my area, I see these couples all the time, including myself (black) and boyfriends who are white.

What difference does it make? We are all God's children! Why can't two people of opposite sex, whatever the hue of their skin, meet, fall in love and marry? Since I've never been married to a black woman, I never had conjugal relations with one! Anything else is either fornication or adultery!
Scientists say our DNA proves we all had one mother, which irreligious ones have laughingly dubbed, "Eve"; of course in a scoffing, mocking manner!

I don't think that this is an issue. We are all humans. Aren't we all built about the same? Then why would color matter. I am a white man with three children. When they grow up, if they fall in love with a person of a so called "different race", I then will give their marriage my blessing, and purchase it for them as well.

I must admit I think you're right, especially if you live in London like your name suggests. There seems to be more inter-racial relationships, involving black women/white men, than ever before.
Personally, I think the R&B/hip-hop culture has assisted the rise, as beautiful black women are being seen by the mainstream and some bohemian white men find it fashionable to date a black woman.....right now.
There are many black women though, who still exclusively date black men. Try and find yourself one of those, or better still, see the beauty in all women - not only black ones!

I guess people are losing the fear and interacting more, getting to realize that race /culture is important and makes for differences but that this is variety - no longer a means for causing divisions.
I hear what you say about jealousy - there is no way you know what is going on in perfect strangers' lives, so I'd focus on enjoying your choices and your companions.
Free up some good emotion to enjoy rather than locking it up on the negative jealousy thing.
Rejoice in the loss of fear, celebration of diversity, coming together of human beings....

Because they want to. Its simply a personal and distinctive taste among people. I don't think everyone believes the same things afterall. Physical characteristics appeal to certain type of people, if the white men like black women, than let them.
