not necessary... in my school days.. i use to put.. 5 different colors of nailpolish.. on my 5 fingers in each hand !!... same with the toe nails :)

A personal choice! I just removed all of my purple and put on a luminescent silver...a bit eerie or intriguing...depends on one's perspective!
